Description:

In this Easter Sunday morning meditation we will explore three very poignant parables (of a sort). With the image of the glorious Resurrection of Jesus Christ and the empty tomb in the background, we will recount the parable of the wicked vineyard tenants that Jesus told the citizens of Jerusalem on the very last day of His earthly teaching ministry (Tuesday in the Temple). Then we will step back and notice the "living parable" that Jesus is in the midst of that virtually parallels the spoken parable, starting with the Triumphal Entry through to His Crucifixion. And finally, we will realize that we all are in our own "living parables" and emphasize the urgency and necessity of Christ's call to repentance and belief. Ultimately we will discover the glorious hope of Jesus' parable, the glorious fulfillment of that hope in the Empty Tomb, and the necessity of responding to that hope in order to be saved from the City of Destruction.
